Hello Colleagues,

I wanted to update you on the Faculty Development opportunities we have at PSON.

1. On Tuesday, December 13th, from 9 am to 4 pm, the Faculty Development Committee in collaboration with the NCLEX committee is hosting a Faculty Development Retreat to include NGN discussions, a Test Writing Workshop and much more. This full day, on-ground, face to face, event will take place at MSPSON and breakfast, lunch and materials will be provided.

Please note that this retreat will be our first step in the process for the upcoming NGN roll out and will lay the foundation for us to move forward in a positive manner as NGN's roll out approaches.

There will be mandatory trainings for all faculty attendees at this retreat. A detailed agenda will be shared as the date gets closer and Vivian will share an evite with all of you.

2. There is an updated JOURNAL CLUB: ARTICLE SHARING folder on the Faculty Development Webpage. I have placed a couple of articles in it to get us started. Feel free to add your own articles and/or articles of interest to this folder.

3. I am here to assist in your writing efforts. Feel free to reach out to me if you want another set of eyes on your writing.

4. The Understanding and Avoiding Plagiarism - A Plagiarism Workshop for PSON Faculty Presented by: Brendan Plann-Curley, PSON Librarian will be presented at the beginning of next semester (Spring, 2023)

This interactive workshop will offer tools and methods to identify plagiarism, reduce students inadvertently plagiarizing, etc. This workshop is in response to faculty requests for a workshop on this topic. Continuing Education Units will be awarded to the participants. DATE AND TIME TBD.
